YEAR 13 A-Level Success!

Cotswold Edge’s Students Celebrate A-Level Success!
Cotswold Edge Sixth Form, the consortium of Brimsham Green School, Chipping Sodbury School and Yate Academy, is delighted to celebrate the combined achievements of their Year 13 students, following the release of their examination grades.

Kim Garland (Headteacher, Brimsham Green School) said, “All of our Year 13 students have worked with determination and, as a result, have made excellent progress. They have made good use of the unfailing support of their teachers and are now looking forward to their university degree courses and apprenticeships.” Katherine Turner (Headteacher, Chipping Sodbury School) added, “Students have been able to study a wide combination of subjects at CEDGE, and the results today show that students have really benefitted from our diverse curriculum, which includes the Extended Project Qualification, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award etc.” Izzy Ambrose (Principal, Yate Academy) concluded, “I am thrilled that the partnership working between our three schools has enabled so many students to continue to study locally and exceed their expected grades.”

Yate Academy students’ performance is impressive and they have attained some fabulous results.  Claire James, Assistant Principal, said “We are proud of all of our hard working year 13 students. Five students had such strong applications that they had already secured an unconditional offer of a university place before their exams but still strived to achieve excellent results.”  In A-Levels, Katie Diclaudio beat her targets to achieve 3 B grades and goes on to study Biomedical Science. Natasha Pang achieved an A grade in Photography supporting her further studies in Architecture and Design and Melissa Costa Rodrigues achieved a B in Business which she will go on to study further at university.  Vocational results are equally impressive with the significant majority of our students exceeding or meeting their target grades. We are particularly proud of Julia Rudzinska who exceeded her target grade and achieved a double distinction in Health and Social Care.
