In-Year Variation to Admission Arrangements for entry in September 2025/26

Yate Academy students have again produced an excellent set of GCSE and BTECresults. Despite the disruption of the last three years of their education, their resilience has meant that they can move onto the next stage with fantastic outcomes and a huge sense of pride.

As you may be aware, the next phase in the government’s testing programme is to offer tests to all staff and students. Students have been given test kits today to take home, and the government ask that secondary students test themselves twice a week while attending school. I appreciate this is a big ask, and you can choose not to consent if you wish, but I hope you will consider taking part: it will help us keep Yate Academy as safe as we possibly can.

I have included the full advice from the government below, and will given students a printed copy to bring home too for easy reference. Please do take some time to read through all of the information and in particular:

1. Watch the instruction video  here.
2. Make sure you report your child's results to school before every Monday and Thursday here. 
3. You need to report your result to NHS Test and Trace

• During the live event you will hear about what makes Yate Academy such a special school including our Reading Programme, enrichment, elite sport and musical pathways, choir, disruption free learning, character Eduction, early help support and exceptional teachers. 
• There will be opportunities to visit the school at the end of the school day at 16.15pm or 17.00pm for a half an hour tour with the Senior Leadership Team.

In accordance with the School Admissions Code 2014, The Greenshaw Learning Trust is currently consulting on the admission arrangements for entry in September 2021/22, for Tyndale Primary School, Woodlands Primary School and Yate Academy.
